Christian Louboutin (who partnered with David Lynch last year, to many a shoe-fetishist's glee) teamed up with renowned embroiderer Jean-Francois Lesage of the House of Lesage to create a pair of Marie Antoinette-inspired shoes. Only 36 pairs exist in the world, and each, marked with a Limited Edition number, were sold for onlyy $6,295. Yay. They were made available in Christian Louboutin's Madison Avenue boutique on February 26 and were sold in a specially created box, with a book illustrating the collaboration process.
